Through storytelling circles, visual arts workshops, and guided discussions, participants will explore how municipal decisions shape everyday life, from housing and public transit to recreation and community safety. Seniors, younger community members, and families are invited to share their perspectives, learn from one another, and discuss what matters most to their community.
Participants will also receive accessible information about the upcoming municipal election, voter eligibility, and the voting process to support informed participation.
Together, we’ll celebrate seniors’ voices, build connections across generations, and explore how we can help shape our communities.

We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation, followed by a brief introduction from representatives of Voice the Vote, sharing information about their work in the Peel community.

We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation, followed by a brief introduction from representatives of Voice the Vote, sharing information about their work in the Peel community.
Then we’ll move into a gentle, accessible yoga practice with simple movements, stretches, breathing, and relaxation. The practice will end with a final meditation and quiet moment of rest.
Before we close the class, the Voice the Vote representatives will have a few minutes to share additional information and let you know how you can connect with them.
The conversation doesn’t have to end when the yoga class does. Anyone who would like to learn more or continue the conversation is welcome to meet the representatives in the lobby after the class.

Hosted by Chloe Michaela, a Bramptonian visual artist and youth, she invites you to the Brampton Arts Organization's (BAO) Office to attend a Voice the Vote Advocacy Workshop for Youth ages 17-24. Through imaginative and collaborative excrsices, learn and develop ways you can take initiative in the Brampton community and local policy whilst connecting with youth artists, creatives, and leaders.
